Who We Are

The Society Empowerment For Transformation Initiative (SETI) is a non-governmental organization established in 2013 and headquartered in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. Our vision is to bring about social, health, and economic transformation for women and children in developing communities through strategic initiatives in education, empowerment, and healthcare.

Society Empowerment For Transformation Initiative (SETI) is a non-governmental organization established in 2013 that envisions bringing social, health and economic transformation to women and children through strategic activities in education, empowerment and health care. We are headquartered in Port Harcourt, Rivers state in Nigeria

Our Mission

  • To provide health-related , educative and empowering information to women and children
  • To increase their accessibility to educational resources and medical equipment for total well being
  • To give our target beneficiaries who are women and children the platform to show case their gifts and talents
  • To build their capacities so that they can become agents of change

Our Mission

By 2035, the beneficiaries in SETI target communities will have access;
  • Basic educational resources that will aid learning and motivate mental and social change of the student child.
  • Have scholastic materials in Arts and Sciences provided to more girl children.
  • Women and girl children can have enhanced access to simple, basic health services and equipment.
  • Renovate existing school libraries, laboratories and school structures etc.
  • Equip health care facilities in women or children care units.
  • Conduct Science/Arts competition to encourage the application of science in Nigerian schools and the society at large.

Target Beneficiaries

  • Children ( Girl child) from primary age up to higher institution.
  • Women ( Females from the age 16-45, nursing mothers, widows belonging to communities selected by SETI after careful studies have been carried out to confirm the need for intervention in any of our area of focus.

Our Approach

At SETI, we believe in a holistic approach to empowerment. We engage directly with communities to understand their unique challenges and tailor our programs accordingly. Our initiatives focus on improving access to educational resources, enhancing basic health services, and providing skills training to foster economic independence.

Our Impact

Through our programs, we aim to achieve significant milestones by 2035, including improved educational outcomes, enhanced access to health services, and increased economic opportunities for women and children. We align our efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 4, and 5 to promote well-being, quality education, and gender equality.
