Transforming Women & Children in the Developing World

Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. Empowering a woman is empowering the society. Women’s empowerment includes women’s ability have control  over their health, to participate equally in existing markets, their access to and control over productive resources, access to decent work, control over their own time, lives and bodies; and increased voice, agency and meaningful participation in decision-making at all levels from the household to international institutions.

In our Inspired2Act and Learn4change activities, we address this through the following:

Inspired2Act Project: where we empower women through seminars, workshops and educational competitions delivered by Local/International Speakers, Entrepreneurs, Professionals, Successful Business men/women, and educationists. We also do live broadcasts on our social media handles through which we empower these beneficiaries and the society at large. These activities are aimed at motivating beneficiaries, giving them platforms to showcase their abilities, and conveying empowering information to them.

Learn4Change Project (SETI skill acquisition and entrepreneurship programs):  Here we provide a platform to train & educate on skills acquisition the aim of this project is to impact youth and women with practical skills required for securing available jobs in and educate them on how to be self-employed, thereby reducing the number of unemployed youth and women. Such skills include: Bead making, Catering, Hat Making, Dress Making, Hair Making, Soap, Detergent and Disinfectants Making, Computer Training, Welding etc.

Graduates from the Learn4change computer skill acquisition program, are transformed and ready to become agents of change to their community in Etche.
